Association for Community Relations (ARC) is the organization that initiated in Romania the development of community foundations, promoted this idea starting with 2006 and continuously supported the establishment and operation of community foundations in Cluj and Odorhei.
In its eight years of experience, ARC encouraged resource mobilization from the community, working both with nongovernmental organizations and with business companies.
ARC is determined to continuously uphold the development of community foundations in keeping with its mission to contribute to the efficient mobilization of private funds in the benefit of public interest causes.
In this program, ARC provides to partners and local communities its knowledge and experience in operating community foundations, developing nonprofit organizations based on local resources and involving business companies in the community.
ARC is the leader of the national program for the development of community foundations, coordinating the partnership, the informative and consultancy component of the program, fundraising as well as program evaluation.
The Romanian Environmental Partnership Foundation () has a rich experience in granting finances and resource mobilization from companies and individuals, for environment protection, cultural heritage and community development. In the last years, the PF granted over 450 finances, while in the same time being the first foundation in Romania that constantly seeks to build an endowment fund.
In the community foundations program, PF's central role is to grant funds for the establishment/set up of community foundations. Plus, PF will participate with its own experience, providing consultancy for community foundations within the program, regarding the way in which themselves can grant efficient local funds with impact for the community.
The PACT Foundation is active in the field of community organizations' development, concentrating its activity in the southern part of Romania. PACT's experience consists in developing local communication campaigns, identifying community leaders and potential beneficiaries as well as providing consultancy to support the development of local organizations.
The mission of the PACT Foundation is to contribute to sustainable development of communities through promotion of local and regional initiatives, partnerships and social responsibility.
Within the community foundations program, PACT Foundation is responsible for the promotion and set up of this type of organizations in the southern part of the country. Moreover, it will contribute with its own experience of community development within the consultancy component of the program.
